Action to the Community Development Center (ACDC) recently coordinated with Nghệ An’s Provincial Disability Society to host a training event focused on strengthening fundraising skills and plans. The two-day event lasted from October 5th to the 6th and was held in Vinh, the capital city of Nghệ An Province.
The event was part of the “Monitoring Implementation of the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) in Vietnam” funded by CBM. Twenty-six participants attended the training, including key officials from the disabled associations of Nghệ An's various districts.
The training covered fundraising concepts and the role of fundraising in developing Nghệ An’s Provincial Disability Society. Participants were also lectured on the qualities and skills required for successful fundraising. In addition to the activities held in Nghệ An, this project also held events throughout the month of October in Vietnam’s south central province, Quang Ngai, to teach conference staff advanced leadership skills.
