In October of 2016, Action to the Community Development Center (ACDC) organized a series of training events centered around local policies and rehabilitation for the disabled. The events were funded by the Committee of the Red Cross International – Special Fund for Persons with Disabilities (ICRC – SFD).
These training events were held throughout the month of October in: Dien Ban Township, Quang Nam Province; Quang Ngai City, Quang Ngai Province; Thai Binh City, Thai Binh Province; and the Northeast Township of Quang Ninh Province. Further training activities were held in December in Hai Phong City.
These training events help to share knowledge of local health policies as well as medical supplies and techniques covered by state insurance. At the same time, these events also provide attendees with a basic understanding of orthopedics and rehabilitation.
Both students and teachers at these seminars report that many among them have gained their training from previous training courses jointly organized by ACDC and ICRC –SFD. A most recent training series included “Popular Circular 18/2016/TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health.”
