A series of major storms and floods – No. 10, 11, 12, and 13 – in late 2025 devastated large areas of northern, central, and Central Highlands provinces, leaving tens of thousands of households submerged, losing property, and facing disrupted livelihoods. Persons with disabilities, who are among the most heavily affected groups due to limited mobility and reduced capacity to respond to emergencies, were identified as those in urgent need of assistance.

More than VND 450 million in livelihood support has been provided to 45 households of persons with disabilities in Quang Ngai province in November 2025 – not only as financial assistance but also as an opportunity to build suitable employment, generate stable income, and strengthen confidence for a more proactive life.

From October to November 2025, ACDC in collaboration with the Da Nang Department of Health and the Disabled People’s Organisation, supported livelihood development for 15 households of persons with disabilities across seven communes, including Thang An, Thang Đien, Thang Phu, Duy Xuyen, Nam Phuoc, Thu Bon, and Duy Nghia. The livelihood models provided were diverse and tailored to the practical conditions and needs of each household, such as oyster mushroom cultivation, small grocery and beverage stalls, ornamental pot casting, and livestock farming.
