On the afternoon of August 26, 2025, a delegation of specialists from the U.S. Congress Office and CARE International visited and held an exchange session with the Trieu Phong Women with Disabilities Club. The visit was part of a series of field activities under programs and projects in the province funded by the U.S. Government through international non-governmental organizations.

At the program, Mr. Tran Hung Minh - Director of the Inclusion 1 Project - shared about the project’s journey. Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh - Director of ACDC - introduced the Club as an inseparable part of the project. Members of the Club have been empowered and encouraged to enhance social inclusion through meaningful activities such as painting contests, cultural exchanges, art performances, and livelihood support, organized under the Inclusion 1 project component implemented by ACDC. Afterwards, the delegation joined in observing the Club’s activities and engaged in conversations with members.

The Trieu Phong Women with Disabilities Club performed a cultural/art performance during the gathering

Founded in 2023 with the support of the Inclusion 1 Project, the Trieu Phong Women with Disabilities Club has become a space for connection and mutual support among women with disabilities. Despite facing numerous challenges related to mobility and geographical distance, members have maintained regular meetings, spreading optimism and positivity while continuously welcoming more women in similar circumstances.

During the session, members expressed their wish to receive more attention from organizations and projects so that not only the Club but also many other persons with disabilities in Quang Tri could have greater opportunities for support, development, and independent living.

The meeting concluded with heartfelt verses written by Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung - a Club member:

“…We, the women with disabilities

With sincere hearts and words of gratitude

To the project team who always

Care, support, and share love with all

Attending training and joyful games

Running together, painting side by side

May the project continue to bring

Compassion, support, and lessen the pain…”
