On March 26, 2023, the ACDC Institute organized a training course for parents and caregivers of children with disabilities in Hanoi with the theme: Online safety for children with disabilities. The training course had the participation of 26 parents and caregivers of children with disabilities. The activity is part of the project "Prevention of physical and mental violence and discrimination against children with disabilities" (AVAC) implemented by ACDC with the support of the Hong Kong Children's Rescue Organization and the coordination of the Children's Rescue Organization in Vietnam.

Judith “Judy” Heumann - widely regarded as “the mother” of the disability rights movement - passed away in Washington, D.C. on the afternoon of March 4, 2023. Judy was at the forefront of major disability rights demonstrations, helped spearhead the passage of disability rights legislation, founded national and international disability advocacy organizations, held senior federal government positions, co-authored her memoir, Being Heumann, and its Young Adult version, Rolling Warrior, and was featured in the Oscar-nominated documentary film, Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution.

The training course was organized by ACDC, in collaboration with Da Nang Center for Inclusive Education Development Support, under the project “Physical, mental violation and behavior discrimination prevention to special needs children”. On November 27, 2022, 2 communication sessions on children's rights for parents and carers of children with disabilities were held in Hanoi and Da Nang. The activity is organised by ACDC with the Vietnam Autism Network and the Organisation of People with Disabilities in the Ba Vi District. The communication session aims to provide participants with information on Children's Rights under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child 1989 and the Law on the Child 2016, Children's Rights, with a particular focus on the right to participate and the right to be protected.

On November 26, 2022, ACDC collaborated with Danang Center for Inclusive Education Development and a group of children with disabilities at the school to organize a contest to learn about children's rights. On May 11th -13th, 2022, in Hanoi, the United Nations Development Program in Vietnam (UNDP Viet Nam) in collaboration with ACDC organized a training workshop on "Feedback Mechanism and List of issues that need to be clarified in the first report on the implementation of the international convention on the rights of persons with disabilities by the Vietnamese government”. The event is sponsored by the Embassy of Norway in Vietnam and the Multi-Sponsorship Trust Fund for the Promotion of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities among United Nations organizations.
