From 26 – 29th May 2026, Action to the Community Development Institute (ACDC), in coordination with the Quang Tri Association of People with Disabilities, Victims of Agent Orange, Protection of Persons with Disabilities’ Rights, Children's Rights, conducted an assessment of livelihood conditions and support needs among households of persons with disabilities and Agent Orange victims across 18 communes and wards in Quang Tri Province, including Dong Hoi, Hoan Lao, Truong Ninh, Ninh Chau, Nam Dong Ha, Hieu Giang, Con Tien, Gio Linh, Cua Viet, Cua Tung, Vinh Hoang, Vinh Linh, Ben Hai, Nam Cua Viet, Trieu Binh, Trieu Phong, Trieu Co, and Nam Hai Lang.

From May 19th – 22nd, 2026, the Action to the Community Development Institute (ACDC), in collaboration with the Quang Tri Association of Persons with Disabilities, Agent Orange Victims, Social Protection for Persons with Disabilities, and Children’s Rights Protection, conducted an accessibility needs assessment at 38 households with persons with disabilities and Agent Orange victims, as well as 06 care and education facilities for persons with disabilities/Agent Orange victims and related units across Quang Tri Province. The activity aimed to assess accessibility conditions, living environments, and support needs for accessibility improvements tailored to each target household and facility.

Within the framework of the project “Independent living and social inclusion for persons with disabilities in Quang Tri, Vietnam,” funded by Green Cross Switzerland (GCCH), the Action to the Community Development Institute (ACDC) collaborated with the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Health to implement the activity of screening and assessment of emotional and mental health difficulties among persons with disabilities, Agent Orange victims, and family members in Trieu Phong, Gio Linh, and Vinh Hoang communes.

On 23 - 24 September 2025, at Muong Thanh Luxury Can Tho Hotel, the Vietnam Federation on Disability (VFD), in collaboration with the Can Tho Disabled People’s Organization, Action to the Community Development Institute (ACDC), and the ASEAN – Australia Counter Trafficking Program (ASEAN-ACT), organized a workshop on “Strengthening Inter-Sectoral Coordination to Ensure Inclusion for Trafficking Victims with Disabilities.”

From May 16 to 19, the course "Training to improve the capacity of source lectures on gender-based violence prevention and peer counselling skills in supporting victims of gender-based violence" was held at Hoi An city, Quang Nam province. The activity was organized by ACDC in collaboration with the Association of People with Disabilities, Agent Orange Victims, Sponsoring People with Disabilities and Protecting Children's rights in Quang Tri province; The Association of People with Disabilities - Sponsoring People with Disabilities and Orphans in Thua Thien Province and the Association of People with Disabilities in Quang Nam Province.
