In two days December 27th 2015 and January 23rd 2016, ACDC has cooperated with International Federation of Red Cross – Special Funds for People with Disabilities (ICRC – SFD) to organize the training program about assistant policies and examination, counseling about rehabilitation equipments for the disabled people.
The program has took place in turn in Giao Thuy District (Nam Dinh Province), Yen Khanh District (Ninh Binh Province) and Phu Ly City (Ha Nam Province). These activities were participated by the social workers, staffs in Red Cross, Health and people with disabilities in regions.
These activities aimed at providing more knowledge and raising awareness for the local staffs and the disabled people about assistant policiesfor people with disabilities and rehabilitation equipments. The program was involved of the staffs from the Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Labor - War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Vietnam Red Cross, Training Centre for orthopedic Technology in Vietnam (VIETCOT) and ACDC.
Through these activities, the local officials also have obtained more the policies information as well as a better understanding of people with disabilities. In addition, people with disabilities have also aware more clearly about the importance of rehabilitation equipments as well as learn more about the government assistant policies.
