Evaluative research activities in Binh Phuoc and Thua Thien Hue

In the framework of the project “Protecting the Rights of People with Disabilities” sponsored by USAID from October to December, 2015, ACDC Center in collaboration with Hanoi Law University and related agencies have carried out two evaluative researches in two provinces: Binh Phuoc and Thua Thien Hue.

Specifically, the first research on the assessment on training needs of the leaders of disabled people’s organizations and people with disabilities” was supposed to assess the current situation and the needs for training on establishing and developing disabled people’s organizations; to advocate the policies for people with disabilties rights and to evaluate the legal aid & counseling ability. The second research was on “the need assessment for training of legal aid & counseling staff in Binh Phuoc and Thua Thien Hue” which is supposed to assess the needs for training of local staffs regarding legal aid & counseling in the two provinces.

Based on the result of these researches, the project will commence with interventions which suit the provinces’ demands. These actions include developing suitable training courses on establishing and developing disabled people organizationsadvocating policies for people with disabilities rights for the organizations leadersimplementing the legal aid and counseling activities which meet the demands of understanding laws and policies related to protecting the benefits of people with diasbiltiesbuilding capacity for local legal aid staffs which later on will better response to for the local legal aid & counseling activities in Binh Phuoc and Thua Thien Hue province.
