Seminar on the guidance document of the UN’s Convention on the Rights of Persons with disabilities

On December 23^rd, 2015, ACDC Center in collaboration with Disability Research and Capacity Development Center (DRD) have organized a seminar namely “The second consultation on the guidance document of the UN’s Convention on the Rights of Persons with disabilities” in HCM city.

This activity is a part of the project which names “Monitoring and Evaluation and Implementation the UN’s Convention on the Rights of Persons with disabilities in Vietnam”, conducted by ACDC center and CBM International.

The consultation aimed to collect feedbacks from the organizations of and for people with disabilities, the representatives in the South on the draft guidance document which consists of 6 topics: the UN’s Convention on the Rights of Persons with disabilities; laws and policies regarding persons with disabilities; policy advocay; monitoring and evaluating the enforcement of the UN’s Convention on the Rights of Persons with disabilities; development and communication for people with disabilities organizations and .

By the end of the consultation, the group of experts’ representative has collected a considerable amount of positive feedbacks, which will assist in completing the guidance document made by ACDC center and the group of experts.
