Training for core trainers on Monitoring and implementation documentation of the CRPD - Northern Region

On 24 - 26/2/2016, ACCD Center organized the training course on the first two topics in “Monitoring and implementation documentation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) of the United Nations” - Northern Region in Hanoi.

This activity is under the project namely “Strengthening supervision and evaluation of the implementation of the UN Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities in Vietnam” which is funded by CBM.

There is the participation of 30 representatives of disabled people organizations of the Northern provinces. Those will be the core trainers for the training chain to improve capacity for disability organizations /groups in the North area. During the 3 days of the training course, the participants have learned and practiced teaching on the first two topics in the documentation: UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities; The rights of persons with disabilities and assurance for enforcement. In addition to providing knowledge related to each topic, they have also learned the methods of teaching so that the lectures  become attractive, appealing and appropriate for each type of disability as well as the content of each lesson.

Upon completion of training, the participants were excited and encouraged to learn new knowledge, as well as be provided opportunities to practice teaching to obtain the lessons’ contents and accumulate experience to communicate knowledge of the documentation for local people with disabilities. As planned, on 17-19/03/2016 and 30/03-01/04/2016 ACDC Center will continue organizing the next two training courses on specific topics in documentation to improve knowledge and skills for the trainers.
