Seminar: “The importance of establishing provincial disabled people’s organization

As a part of the chain of activities supporting the establishment of Nghe An province’s disabled people’s organization (DPO) sponsored by CBM organization, on December 29^th, 2015 ACDC center held an seminar on “The importance of establishing provincial DPO” in Vinh City, Nghe An Province.

Its purpose was to help related parties understanding about the importance of establishing DPOs, as well as creating an opportunity for sharing information and experience on the establishment of provincial DPO.

The seminar participants were Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh, Deputy manager of Social Policy Division – Department of Social Protection, Ministry of Labor, War invalids and Social Affairs; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh, Director of ACDC center; Mr. Hoang Ngoc Chau, Head of Social Policy Division, Department of Labor, War invalids and Social Affairs; Mr. Phan Si Duc from Department of Home Affairs of Nghe An Province and Mr. Thai Khac Hoang, Chairman of Vinh city’s DPO as well as people from disabled people related local departments.

The seminar was an opportunity for key members of Vinh city’s DPO sharing their activities and their desire for the province disability movement. In addition, it also helped the local authority to figure out and recognize DPO as well as agree with the plan which is utilized to support the establishment and development of provincial DPO.
