BRIDGE – South East Asia: “Building a CRPD (Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability) perspective on development and agenda 2030

From March 5th to 11th, 2016, in Bangkok, Thailand, the 2nd training module of BRIDGE- South East Asia: “Building a CRPD perspective on development and agenda 2030” has been carried out. 

This training module has continued to see the participation of 40 disabled people representatives from 10 countries: Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippine, Myanmar, Pakistan, India and China. Vietnam had 2 representatives from ACDC Center.

The lecturers and attendants have shared and discussed the fundamental principles of making CRPD monitoring assessment and implementation report; promoting gender role and gender equality; ensuring the participation of people with intellectual disability which all aim to an equal and inclusive development for 2030 vision.

During the 6 days of the training module, despites the differences in culture, languages and disability types, the attendants enthusiastically have helped each other, to accomplish the knowledge on the CRPD as well as the experiences on implementing activities related to people with disability.
