Thua Thien Hue: Series of Activities to Improve Capacity on People with Disabilities

June 2016 - ACDC organized a series of activities with the aim of improving capacity for leaders of Associations of People with Disabilities, including:

• On 6^th- 8^th of June 2016: Training on leadership and fund raising skills.
• On 21^st- 22^nd 2016: Training on monitoring and evaluation skills
• On 23^rd- 24^th of June 2016: Training on standards of housing, public infrastructures to ensure access by Persons with Disabilities
• On 25^th- 26^th of June 2016: Survey of infrastructure access of People’s Committee in Hue city and Dai Noi

The training series equipped leaders of Associations of People with Disabilities with comprehensive knowledge and skills to support the development of these organizations. This is also a great opportunity for those leaders to exchange, share and learn from each other for experience and leadership skills to strengthen the organisations. Especially after the training series, the useful knowledge of access standards would be applied in the survey of public infrastructures in local areas.

These activities are under project “Promote the implementation of Persons with Disabilities’ rights” sponsored by USAID.
