"I have always been aware of the need to strive forward, but it was only when I joined ACDC’s project that I truly understood I have the right to live freely and the full ability to take control of my own life. It was only then that I dared to think and dared to act."
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha from Huong Thuy Town, Hue City, has proudly continued to write her life story and become an endless source of inspiration for others in similar circumstances. Although born with a hand disability, her passion and proactive spirit have led her to participate in numerous activities organized by the ACDC project in the area. On every trip, she learns many meaningful lessons and inspires others about independent living and self-confidence.
In 2019, she pursued embroidery, then registered to study and work at a vocational training center for persons with disabilities. In 2022, she began doing embroidery from home and started providing free vocational training and support to many local women, including many with disabilities. In 2023, she established a traditional hand embroidery workshop and received a consolation prize for this model at the “Innovation and Startup” competition in Thua Thien Hue Province.
"Flowers have bloomed on barren land; the cactus in her yard is as beautiful as her smile after all she has done and given."
