Strengthening the capacity to respond to gender-based violence against women and girls with disabilities in Nghe An province

Objective: To reduce gender-based violence against women and girls with disabilities in Nghe An province by enhancing the capacity of women and girls with disabilities and their communities to respond to gender-based violence, and by strengthening legal counseling and support for women and girls with disabilities.

Locations: Vinh City, Thanh Chuong District, Thai Hoa District (Nghe An Province)

Duration: From June 2019 to May 2020

Sponsor: Justice Initiatives Facilitation Fund (JIFF)

Purpose: To mitigate gender-based violence against women and girls with disabilities in Nghe An province by empowering women and girls with disabilities and their communities to address gender-based violence and by improving access to legal counseling and support for women and girls with disabilities.

Specific Objectives:

• Raise awareness and build capacity for women and girls with disabilities to respond to gender-based violence.
• Enhance legal support for women and girls with disabilities to address gender-based violence and other issues related to gender-based discrimination.
