From October 2025 to November 2025, the Action to the Community Development Institute (ACDC) distributed assistive devices and prostheses to 10 persons with disabilities in Thanh Thuy, Huong Thuy and Phu Bai wards of Hue City. This activity forms part of a series of rehabilitation interventions for persons with disabilities under the Project “Improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities in provinces sprayed with Agent Orange (Inclusion 1 Project), under the leadership of National Action Center for Toxic Chemicals and Environmental Treatment (NACCET) - Ministry of National Defense, coordinated by the Center for Creative Initiatives in Health and Population (CCIHP), and implemented by ACDC in the Central Vietnam region.

The activity organized to enable persons with disabilities to access suitable assistive devices that improve mobility, activities of daily living, and functional recovery in everyday life.

The assistive devices and equipment provided included wheelchairs, seating for children with disabilities, standing training frames, stainless-steel crutches, walking frames, and various types of prostheses customized to each individual’s condition. During implementation, technical staff from the Da Nang Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Hospital and the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team directly measured, fitted, instructed in use, and guided rehabilitation exercises for the beneficiaries at their homes.
