Ngày người khuyết tật Việt Nam năm 2020: Cùng nhau vượt qua đại dịch

Năm nay, chủ đề Ngày người khuyết tật Việt Nam 18/04 được diễn ra với chủ đề: “CÙNG NHAU VƯỢT QUA ĐẠI DỊCH” nhằm mục đích lan tỏa tinh thần tương thân tương ái, đoàn kết, sẻ chia và ý chí quyết tâm vượt qua mọi khó khăn, nghịch cảnh của người khuyết tật. Bên cạnh đó, chủ đề cũng thể hiện sự đồng lòng của cộng đồng người khuyết tật Việt Nam đối với Chính phủ trong công cuộc chống đại dịch Covid-19 hiện nay.

Để hưởng ứng ngày lễ đặc biệt này, sáng ngày 16/04/2020, Liên hiệp hội về người khuyết tật Việt Nam đã phối hợp cùng Trung tâm ACDC tổ chức Hội thảo trực tuyến “Bài học kinh nghiệm về hỗ trợ người khuyết tật Việt Nam - Góc nhìn từ nhiều phía”. Hội thảo đã được phát sóng trực tiếp trên fanpage ACDC với hàng nghìn lượt người xem và tương tác. Đặc biệt, trên nền tảng họp trực tuyến Google meet, chương trình đã thu hút sự tham gia của 90 đại biểu từ các các bộ, sở ban ngành thuộc lĩnh vực Y tế, Lao động – Xã hội; các hội, nhóm người khuyết tật trên khắp cả nước.

Ngày 18/04 hằng năm, người khuyết tật Việt Nam trên khắp mọi miền đều sôi nổi tổ chức các sự kiện gặp gỡ, giao lưu, hội nghị, mít tinh... Năm nay, mặc dù phải giãn cách xã hội do dịch bệnh Covid-19, nhưng tinh thần ngày 18/4 vẫn được lan toả, chúng ta đã chia sẻ với nhau từng cân gạo, từng bộ kit vệ sinh phòng dịch... Chúng ta đã dùng những cách riêng để sẻ chia, để chào mừng và kỉ niệm Ngày người khuyết tật Việt Nam đầy ý nghĩa. Cùng với những quyết sách chưa từng có trong lịch sử của Chính phủ Việt Nam, cộng đồng người khuyết tật luôn tin tưởng chúng ta sẽ chiến thắng đại dịch trong thời gian sớm nhất.

From July 24 – 26, 2026, ACDC, in coordination with the Quang Ngai Department of Health, implemented a direct support activity for persons with disabilities and their families to improve living conditions and promote community inclusion in five communes: Dak To, Ngok Tu, Sa Loong, Duc Nong, and Bo Y. Through this activity, 53 persons with disabilities and their families received assistive devices and equipment tailored to their needs and actual living conditions, contributing to greater independence in their daily activities.

On the afternoon of July 23, 2026, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Federation on Disability (VFD) convened an Extraordinary Meeting in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation. During the meeting, the Executive Committee elected Ms. Do Thi Hue as Vice President of VFD for the 2023 – 2028 term, with 91% of voting delegates in favor. The appointment marks an important step in strengthening the Federation’s leadership and enhancing its capacity to fulfill its mission in the years ahead.

Gia Lai and Quang Ngai: Continuing the disbursement of over 200 million vnd in livelihood support for persons with disabilities

As part of a series of livelihood support activities for persons with disabilities, from 7–13 July 2026, the Action to the Community Development Institute (ACDC), in collaboration with the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health and the Quang Ngai Provincial Department of Health, with technical support from livelihood specialists and local agricultural extension officers, conducted mid-term assessments and the second round of livelihood grant disbursements for 62 households of persons with disabilities across the two provinces. During this phase, the project provided more than 200 million VND, bringing the total investment in livelihood models for persons with disabilities to over 800 million VND.
