On 13 – 14 August 2026, Action to the Community Development Institute (ACDC), in coordination with the Hue City Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans and relevant agencies, completed the provision of prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices to 86 persons with disabilities and Agent Orange victims in 11 communes and wards across Hue City. This activity followed the prosthetic and orthotic fitting and trial process conducted in July 2026. The activity was implemented under the project “Livelihood Support and Quality of Life Improvement for Persons with Disabilities and Agent Orange Victims in Hue City,” funded by Green Cross Switzerland (GCCH) through ACDC.

From June 5 – 7, 2026, 46 persons with disabilities in Quang Tri participated in the trial fitting of prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices following earlier screening, casting, and measurement activities. This important step aims to finalize the products before their official handover to beneficiaries in July 2026.

From October 2025 to November 2025, the Action to the Community Development Institute (ACDC) distributed assistive devices and prostheses to 10 persons with disabilities in Thanh Thuy, Huong Thuy and Phu Bai wards of Hue City. This activity forms part of a series of rehabilitation interventions for persons with disabilities under the Project “Improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities in provinces sprayed with Agent Orange (Inclusion 1 Project), under the leadership of National Action Center for Toxic Chemicals and Environmental Treatment (NACCET) - Ministry of National Defense, coordinated by the Center for Creative Initiatives in Health and Population (CCIHP), and implemented by ACDC in the Central Vietnam region.

On October 25, 2025, the Action to the Community Development Institute (ACDC), in collaboration with the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and local authorities, provided 30 assistive devices to 22 persons with disabilities in Nam Cua Viet, Trieu Binh, Trieu Co, Cam Lo, and Hieu Giang communes (Quang Tri province).

From August 1 to August 6, 2025, the project “Independent living and social inclusion for persons with disabilities in Quang Tri, Vietnam” carried out activities to support persons with disabilities in Quang Tri province. These included the trial of prosthetic and orthopedic devices, conducting home-based functional rehabilitation interventions, and providing assistive devices. The activities were implemented by ACDC with funding from Green Cross Switzerland.
