Trong khuôn khổ hoạt động của dự án “Tăng cường cơ hội và nâng cao vị thế cho người khuyết tật” do Cơ quan Phát triển Quốc tế Hoa Kỳ (USAID) tài trợ, cuối tháng 03/2019, Trung tâm ACDC đã phối hợp với Hội người khuyết tật tỉnh Quảng Trị và Quảng Nam tổ chức hoạt động tư vấn pháp luật miễn phí cho người khuyết tật và gia đình người khuyết tật tại Thành phố Đông Hà và Thành phố Hội An.

Đoàn tư vấn pháp luật tham gia chương trình bao gồm các luật sư, tư vấn viên phòng Luật thuộc Trung tâm ACDC, cán bộ lao động thương binh xã hội, trợ giúp viên pháp lý nhà nước tỉnh, ngân hàng chính sách xã hội tỉnh Quảng Trị và Quảng Nam… Chuyến đi đã tư vấn cho 98 người khuyết tật và gia đình người khuyết tật, 50 trường hợp tại thành phố Đông Hà và 48 trường hợp tại thành phố Hội An. Các câu hỏi, trường hợp cần tư vấn tập trung vào các lĩnh vực bảo trợ xã hội, bảo hiểm y tế, đất đai nhà ở; giáo dục - học nghề và việc làm, vay vốn ưu đãi để sản xuất kinh doanh, sửa chữa nhà ở… Cũng giống như đa số người khuyết tật ở các địa phương khác, vấn đề bảo trợ xã hội và vay vốn là 02 vấn đề được người khuyết tật và gia đình người khuyết tật quan tâm và đặc ra nhiều câu hỏi nhất.

Thông qua hoạt động này, người khuyết tật và thành viên gia đình người khuyết tật đã được nâng cao các kiến thức, thông tin về chính sách, pháp luật, đồng thời được giải đáp, tháo gỡ các vướng mắc pháp lý cụ thể trong cuộc sống.

Tư vấn pháp luật lưu động tại địa phương là một trong các hình thức tư vấn miễn phí dành cho người khuyết tật và gia đình người khuyết tật Việt Nam của phòng Luật Trung tâm ACDC. From July 24 – 26, 2026, ACDC, in coordination with the Quang Ngai Department of Health, implemented a direct support activity for persons with disabilities and their families to improve living conditions and promote community inclusion in five communes: Dak To, Ngok Tu, Sa Loong, Duc Nong, and Bo Y. Through this activity, 53 persons with disabilities and their families received assistive devices and equipment tailored to their needs and actual living conditions, contributing to greater independence in their daily activities.

On the afternoon of July 23, 2026, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Federation on Disability (VFD) convened an Extraordinary Meeting in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation. During the meeting, the Executive Committee elected Ms. Do Thi Hue as Vice President of VFD for the 2023 – 2028 term, with 91% of voting delegates in favor. The appointment marks an important step in strengthening the Federation’s leadership and enhancing its capacity to fulfill its mission in the years ahead.

Gia Lai and Quang Ngai: Continuing the disbursement of over 200 million vnd in livelihood support for persons with disabilities

As part of a series of livelihood support activities for persons with disabilities, from 7–13 July 2026, the Action to the Community Development Institute (ACDC), in collaboration with the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health and the Quang Ngai Provincial Department of Health, with technical support from livelihood specialists and local agricultural extension officers, conducted mid-term assessments and the second round of livelihood grant disbursements for 62 households of persons with disabilities across the two provinces. During this phase, the project provided more than 200 million VND, bringing the total investment in livelihood models for persons with disabilities to over 800 million VND.
