In 2025, ACDC continued to implement a wide range of practical activities, connecting policy advocacy with direct community-based support. Its programs focused on raising public awareness, providing legal counseling, supporting rehabilitation, promoting mental health care, developing livelihoods, and strengthening the capacity of persons with disabilities and organizations of persons with disabilities.
Key highlights of the 2025 Annual Report include:
- Raising community awareness of disability issues through training courses, workshops, and communication events, reaching nearly 16,000 persons with disabilities, family members of persons with disabilities, and community members.
- Contributing to policy and legal advocacy related to persons with disabilities, gender equality, child protection, prevention of violence, and legal support for persons with disabilities.
- Maintaining and expanding nine community-based support models for persons with disabilities, including independent living, transitional housing, legal counseling, community-based psychosocial support groups, livelihood improvement loans, solar energy models…
- Expanding mental health and community-based care services, helping to better respond to the practical needs of persons with disabilities and their families.
- Developing clubs of women with disabilities, creating safe and inclusive spaces for women with disabilities to connect, share experiences, build capacity, and strengthen their participation in social life.
- Organizing impactful community events, notably “Connection Journey: Sending Peace – Strengthening Mental Well-being” in Quang Tri and “Running with Persons with Disabilities in Hue City 2025”, spreading messages of inclusion, compassion, and mental health care.
- Supporting livelihood development for persons with disabilities, with more than 160 households of persons with disabilities receiving counseling, technical support, resource connection, and capacity building for production and business development.
- Strengthening ACDC’s internal capacity through staff, expert, and volunteer training, as well as improvements in operational procedures and program governance.
The 2025 Annual Report not only summarizes the results achieved during the year, but also reflects ACDC’s sustained efforts to create opportunities, promote inclusion, and contribute to building an equitable and accessible society where persons with disabilities are heard, empowered to participate, and able to realize their full potential.
