The activities raise knowledge about gender-based violence against women/girls with disabilities in the online environment. Simultaneously, the training also provided skills and methods for participants to run a training session on gender-based violence against women/girls with disabilities on the local network.  From the knowledge they have learned, trainees can cooperate with the Organizations of Persons with Disabilities to organize training on the prevention of gender-based violence in the online environment for practitioners in their locality.

The training course took place under the guidance of trainer Mai Thi Buoi - a gender research expert. In 2 days, 10 students who were excellent students in the August training course had the opportunity to discuss together in groups, deliver presentations, apply skills to case exercises, etc. Furthermore, thanks to the working method that encourages the participation of students, multiple interactive games and practical experiences have been shared in the class.

Participating in the course, Ms Huynh Thuy Niem, Vice President of the Association of People with Disabilities in Can Tho City, Chairperson of the Can Tho Disabled Women's Club, shared: “After participating in the training session for the training of trainers, I had deeper access to knowledge about gender-based violence in cyberspace and was taught skills and methods of disseminating knowledge. In the future, I plan to organize a training course for 20-25 women with disabilities aged 20-55 who are members of the women's club and will invite more men to join."

Ms Tran Thi Nhan, member of the source lecturer group from Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi, stated: “I found the lecturer to be very supportive, the training content was very easy to understand, close to reality. During my participation, I learned a lot of practical knowledge about gender-based violence in cyberspace. I will apply what I have learned today by integrating my knowledge into peer-to-peer counselling sessions, exchange and sharing extracurricular activities at the campus.”

This is one of the practical actions aimed at meeting the needs of women with disabilities in various regions/provinces, thereby contributing to the effective implementation of the overall society's goal of preventing and responding to gender-based violence against women and girls with disabilities.
