On the morning of July 31, 2024, the "Raising voices, creating opportunities Project, Phase II" project in Quang Nam Province held a preliminary meeting to review and evaluate the results after three years of implementation. The meeting was jointly organized by the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs of Quang Nam Province, the Project Management Board in Quang Nam, and ACDC.

This project was implemented over a four-month period, from November 2017 to February 2018, with two key objectives successfully achieved: (1) To raise awareness among women and girls with disabilities (WGWDs) in order to strengthen their voice in advocating for their rights; and (2) To improve local infrastructure to better protect girls with disabilities (GWDs) in public spaces from potential acts of violence. In this context, the public lighting system was selected for enhancement.

The conference was organized by 4 NGOs from different countries including Action to the Community Development Institute (ACDC - Vietnam), Perkumpulan Difabel SEHATI Sukoharjo (SEHATI - Indonesia), Zavod za izobrazevanje in inkluzijo ODTIZ (ODTIZ - Slovenia), Development Center Association of Individuals with Disability and Their Families (EBAGEM - Turkey). The project is funded by the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union.
