Thừa Thiên Huế: Chia sẻ thực trạng và giải pháp đảm bảo tiếp cận cho người khuyết tật tại tỉnh

Sáng ngày 29/03/2019, Trung tâm ACDC phối hợp cùng Ban quản lý dự án “Tăng cường cơ hội và nâng cao vị thế của người khuyết tật” tỉnh Thừa Thiên Huế tổ chức hội thảo “Chia sẻ thực trạng và giải pháp đảm bảo tiếp cận cho người khuyết tật tại tỉnh.

Tham gia hội thảo có bà Nguyễn Thị Lan Anh, Giám đốc Trung tâm ACDC, ông Lê Xuân Trọng, ông Trần Nguyên Hà, Viện chiến lược và phát triển GTVT, Bộ GTVT; bà Phan Minh Nguyện, Phó giám đốc Sở LĐ TBXH; ông Ngô Văn Tiến, Sở GTVT; bà Mai Thị Minh Thủy, Sở xây dựng; lãnh đạo, cá nhân đại diện cho các cơ quan ban ngành, doanh nghiệp về xây dựng và giao thông cùng đông đảo người khuyết tật tại tỉnh.

Trong suốt quá trình hội thảo, các đại biểu đã được nghe 3 bài tham luận về thực trạng giao thông tiếp cận dưới góc nhìn của người khuyết tật tại địa phương; thực trạng, kế hoạch và giải pháp đảm bảo tiếp cận cho người khuyết tật của ngành giao thông và xây dựng địa phương. Nhìn chung, việc đảm bảo giao thông và xây dựng cho người khuyết tật trong những năm gần đây đã được chú ý hơn, song vẫn còn nhiều bất cập như: các công trình xây dựng chưa được chú ý xây dựng tiếp cận như chợ, siêu thị, ngân hàng; các hạng mục mới chỉ chú ý tiếp cận về vệt dốc, bó vỉa hè mà không chú ý đến cầu thang, nhà vệ sinh, chỗ ngồi…

Tại hội thảo, các đại biểu đã đưa ra các khuyến nghị nhằm tăng cường tiếp cận giao thông và xây dựng cho người khuyết tật, bao gồm: cần có sự tham gia của người khuyết tật trong thiết kế, xây dựng và thẩm định công trình; cần nâng cao hơn nữa tinh thần trách nhiệm, nhận thức của các cơ quan chuyên môn; cần cải tạo nâng cấp các công trình phù hợp với tất cả mọi người; người khuyết tật cần được cấp giấy phép lái xe…

Hội thảo thuộc dự án “Tăng cường cơ hội và nâng cao vị thế của người khuyết tật” do Cơ quan Phát triển Quốc tế Hoa Kỳ (USAID) tài trợ.

Hue city: Completion of home-based rehabilitation intervention cases for persons with disabilities and agent orange victims

On August 15 – 16 and 22 – 23, 2026, the Action to the Community Development Institute (ACDC), in collaboration with the Organization of Persons with Disabilities – Protection of Persons with Disabilities and Orphans of Hue City , Hue City Rehabilitation Hospital, local authorities, and commune/ward health stations, organized the closing of home-based rehabilitation (RH) intervention cases for 78 persons with disabilities and Agent Orange victims. The activity is part of the project “Enhancing livelihood and well-being of persons with disabilities and Agent Orange victims in Hue City, Vietnam,” funded by Green Cross Switzerland (GCCH) through ACDC.

86 persons with disabilities and agent orange victims receive prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices in Hue city

On 13 – 14 August 2026, Action to the Community Development Institute (ACDC), in coordination with the Hue City Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans and relevant agencies, completed the provision of prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices to 86 persons with disabilities and Agent Orange victims in 11 communes and wards across Hue City. This activity followed the prosthetic and orthotic fitting and trial process conducted in July 2026. The activity was implemented under the project “Livelihood Support and Quality of Life Improvement for Persons with Disabilities and Agent Orange Victims in Hue City,” funded by Green Cross Switzerland (GCCH) through ACDC.
