On the afternoon of July 23, 2026, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Federation on Disability (VFD) convened an Extraordinary Meeting in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation. As part of a series of livelihood support activities for persons with disabilities, from 7–13 July 2026, the Action to the Community Development Institute (ACDC), in collaboration with the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health and the Quang Ngai Provincial Department of Health, with technical support from livelihood specialists and local agricultural extension officers, conducted mid-term assessments and the second round of livelihood grant disbursements for 62 households of persons with disabilities across the two provinces. During this phase, the project provided more than 200 million VND, bringing the total investment in livelihood models for persons with disabilities to over 800 million VND.

Recently, the Action to the Community Development Institute (ACDC), in collaboration with the Hue City Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, completed the activity "Providing Scholarships for Students from Families of Agent Orange Victims" in Hue City. Through this activity, five scholarships with a total value of 32 million VND (6.4 million VND per student) were awarded to five students who are the second- and third-generation descendants of families affected by Agent Orange. In the days leading up to the Lunar New Year, on 6 February 2026, the Action to the Community Development Institute (ACDC) organized the handover of sewing machines and equipment for home-based garment production to two households of women with disabilities in Hue City. A series of major storms and floods – No. 10, 11, 12, and 13 – in late 2025 devastated large areas of northern, central, and Central Highlands provinces, leaving tens of thousands of households submerged, losing property, and facing disrupted livelihoods. Persons with disabilities, who are among the most heavily affected groups due to limited mobility and reduced capacity to respond to emergencies, were identified as those in urgent need of assistance.
